SharedAnchor is a co-parenting financial tracking and payment platform. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
We collect your email address for authentication, your display name for identification within your co-parenting pair, and financial transaction data you enter into the platform (expenses, payments, and related records). If you link a bank account, Stripe Financial Connections collects and processes that data under Stripe's privacy policy.
We do not collect your last login time, last active time, or message read receipts. These timestamps are omitted by design to protect users in safety-sensitive situations.
Your data is used to operate the platform: processing payments, tracking expenses, managing custody calendar events, and generating court-ready reports. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
AI assistant conversation content (the text you type and the AI responses) is temporarily stored on our servers for up to 24 hours so the assistant can hold the conversation, then automatically deleted. Conversation content is not stored permanently. SharedAnchor logs only metadata (feature area used, response confidence score, and interaction source) for service quality purposes. Message content is not logged or retained beyond the 24-hour conversation window.
Conversation text is sent to our AI provider for processing. Our agreement with our AI provider prohibits them from using your conversation data to train their models.
AI suggestions are generated by software and may be incomplete or wrong. The AI assistant does not provide legal, tax, financial, medical, or safety advice, and does not create an attorney-client, financial-advisor, or therapist relationship between you and SharedAnchor. For questions about your custody order, taxes, finances, health, or personal safety, consult the appropriate licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
Your AI chat history, memory, and activity are private to you. SharedAnchor does not share one co-parent's AI conversations, AI memory, or AI activity with the other co-parent, and does not use one co-parent's AI history to personalize the other co-parent's AI experience.
Financial records (expenses, payments, and audit logs) are retained indefinitely as part of an append-only tamper-evident ledger. These records may be used as evidence in legal proceedings under federal rules governing business records.
Account data is retained until you request deletion. To request deletion, contact us at privacy@sharedanchor.com.
All data is transmitted over TLS. Financial records are protected by a SHA-256 hash chain that detects any tampering. Payment processing is handled by Stripe under their security certifications. SharedAnchor never stores full bank account numbers.
